Good morning, Mr. Farina. You have a long history of training thousands in artificial intelligence and Microsoft technologies. With your current focus on Microsoft 365 Copilot, can you describe how this tool leverages AI to transform typical workflows within Microsoft 365? Specifically, what unique AI-driven capabilities does it introduce compared to other Microsoft technologies?
The course builds on my extensive experience with Microsoft to enable the implementation of generative AI tools that create real value for businesses. Using Microsoft Copilot without proper training can often lead to a sterile exercise, and in some cases, it can even be dangerous for companies. Without a deep understanding, businesses might miss the real value of Copilot, and overlook critical security and compliance implications, ultimately exposing themselves to more problems than benefits.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will be deeply integrated across company data and applications, streamlining workflows and optimizing employee productivity. From organizing meetings to creating documents, and even searching for information, everything will become more efficient and effective. It’s a revolutionary technology that doesn't replace other Microsoft tools like Office but rather enhances their capabilities. In this sense, Copilot is an additive technology, augmenting existing tools rather than substituting them.
Moreover, with Microsoft Copilot Studio, companies can tailor Copilot specifically to their unique needs, working with their own data and processes. This customization ensures that Copilot models are aligned precisely with the company’s operations, delivering a bespoke AI assistant that drives real, actionable insights and efficiencies.

Register nowYou’re offering a comprehensive course on Microsoft 365 Copilot Studio. Could you elaborate on what sets Copilot Studio apart from the core Copilot product and how it empowers companies to create custom AI assistants tailored to their unique data and workflows? What excites you personally about this feature?
Copilot Studio fundamentally allows us to work on two key aspects: enhancement and extension. With the enhancement capability, we can add specific features and workflows to Copilot, enabling it to fully cover business processes that the standard version of Copilot might not handle natively. This allows companies to tailor Copilot to their precise needs, ensuring it supports every step of a critical workflow.
On the extension side, Copilot Studio allows us to integrate Copilot with additional company data sources, beyond just documents, meetings, and Teams chats. This means you can connect Copilot to your ERP system, CRM, or other enterprise applications, making it a comprehensive tool that can draw from and interact with all the relevant data within your organization.
What excites me the most about Copilot Studio is the ability to create Copilots specifically designed for each function or business process. This targeted customization has the potential to deliver significant value and efficiency across the entire company. By tailoring Copilot to each department's unique needs, we can ensure that it becomes a vital tool in driving productivity and innovation.
Every company, regardless of its sector or scale, can derive significant value from this tool because every organization has data, applications, processes, and people. - Marco Farina
Your course emphasizes real-world use cases and practical applications. From your experience, what types of organizations, whether by size or industry, stand to gain the most from adopting Microsoft 365 Copilot? Could you provide some specific examples of where the tool can deliver measurable business value?
There is no specific size or industry that stands to gain the most from adopting Microsoft 365 Copilot. Every company, regardless of its sector or scale, can derive significant value from this tool because every organization has data, applications, processes, and people. The need to easily access information, create documents, and automate processes is universal.
For example, with Copilot Studio, a company could create a custom Copilot to onboard new employees by guiding them through specific processes, ensuring they understand the workflow from the start. Another use case could be asking Copilot to check the status of payments and automatically send reminders when necessary. It could also arrange meetings, analyze company data, and generate related invoices.
Additionally, you could describe a new project to Copilot, which would then search through your systems to find the most similar project and automatically draft the necessary documents based on that information. These examples demonstrate how Copilot can be tailored to meet various business needs, driving efficiency and reducing manual effort across the board.
Given that this course is specifically targeted to IT Managers, Power Users, and Consultants, who do you believe will benefit the most from the training? How does your course adapt to the various technical backgrounds of participants, and where will the training sessions take place?
The people I aim to involve in this course are those who will need to champion this technology within their organization. A significant portion—about 95%—of individuals have not yet fully grasped the true potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Beyond basic end-user training, no one has really shown what can be accomplished with M365 Copilot, especially when extended with Copilot Studio.
This technology is incredibly powerful, but it also requires careful consideration of two critical points that are often overlooked. First, is my company ready in terms of security and compliance? And second, how can I ensure that the tool is adopted correctly within my organization? This is where adoption and change management techniques become essential to guarantee a successful implementation.
By targeting IT Managers, Power Users, and Consultants, the course is designed to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for and implement Microsoft 365 Copilot effectively. The course adapts to various technical backgrounds by covering both the technical aspects of the tool and the strategic approaches needed for a successful rollout.
The training will take place at our offices in Steinhausen, where we have dedicated spaces specifically designed for training. This setup ensures that participants have the best environment to engage with the material and gain practical experience.
Your course is designed to condense essential content into a four-hour session. Could you walk us through the structure of the course and highlight the key takeaways? What practical skills can participants expect to develop, and what are the standout features of the course that they won’t find elsewhere?
In the four-hour session, my goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of Microsoft 365 Copilot as it currently stands. I will demonstrate what needs to be done in terms of security and compliance to adopt the tool safely within an organization. Participants will learn prompting techniques, and I will provide guidelines to ensure that Copilot is adopted correctly across the company.
What sets this course apart is the combination of foundational knowledge with advanced, real-world applications, ensuring that participants not only understand the tool but can also apply it in a way that drives tangible value. - Marco Farina
In the second part of the course, I will focus on Copilot Studio, showcasing its capabilities and guiding participants through practical exercises. These exercises will allow them to create their own custom Copilots, connected to their company’s data and tailored to their specific workflows. This hands-on experience is designed to empower participants with the practical skills they need to leverage Copilot Studio effectively within their organizations.
What sets this course apart is the combination of foundational knowledge with advanced, real-world applications, ensuring that participants not only understand the tool but can also apply it in a way that drives tangible value.
Adopting new technologies always presents challenges. Based on your expertise, what are the most common roadblocks companies face when implementing Microsoft 365 Copilot, particularly around organizational readiness and data security? How does your course prepare participants to address these specific issues?
Data security and compliance are often overlooked because companies may not fully grasp that they now have a tool with the potential to access a vast amount of data, aggregating it and providing strategic insights. How can you be sure that security measures and access to confidential data are respected? What happens if certain information is protected with security labels? These are critical questions, and participants in the course will gain a deep understanding of the security and compliance implications associated with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
To extract real value from these tools, it is often necessary to evaluate how data is structured and what applications employees are using. Additionally, the course emphasizes the importance of informing and training users. The key message is that there must be a continuous "try and adapt" mechanism in place. This is not a one-time implementation; as the technology evolves and improves at an impressive pace, it requires ongoing support through effective adoption methodologies.
Participants will learn how to assess their organization's readiness for Copilot, ensuring that data security and compliance are maintained. They will also be equipped with strategies for successfully implementing and continuously adapting to this rapidly advancing technology.
During the course, participants will learn how to build custom Copilot applications using their company's own data in Copilot Studio. Could you share an example of a business that successfully integrated a custom Copilot and the significant improvements they experienced as a result?
Well, considering that your company is a publishing company, I could say that I might have used Copilot to answer this very questionnaire you sent me! Or, imagine creating a custom Copilot that, just by mentioning the topic you want to cover in your next newsletter, it drafts the content, sends it for approval, and after the review, distributes it to your subscribers.
Perhaps it would be useful for you to join the training as well—what do you think?
That sounds promising. Looking ahead, what are your thoughts on the future of AI-driven collaboration tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot? How do you see these technologies evolving to meet the demands of companies in the next 5-10 years?
Looking ahead, AI-driven collaboration tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot are poised to become even more integral to the daily operations of companies across all industries.
